In
order to achieve success on LocalTexts.com make sure to
always fill out all of the fields that are provided.

If
possible, always put a picture with your book. Most users are only
going to buy a book that they can visually see.
3.
Always
enter the Course Name: (i.e. "FIN3403") when listing
your books. The course name is one of most identifiable
fields on our book listings.
4.
Make
sure to review the "How the Site Works" link. This link
goes into detail for the entire process of selling and
buying books.
5.
Always
list your books at reasonable prices. Don't list a book
that goes for $100 at the bookstore for $90 on LocalTexts.com. A
sellable price would be $70 or lower. Just remember that if
the bookstore is only going to offer you $40 for your book
(even though they're going to turn around and sell that same
book for $90) sell your book at $65, that's still $25 more
than if you sold the book back to the bookstore. In addition, buyers
will be inclined to buy your book because it's $35 cheaper
than the bookstore.

When searching for Books, LocalTexts.com has
several different search features such
as:
1.
Keyword searching: (i.e. "Accounting")
2.
ISBN, Title, Author: Use this feature if you know any of the
latter
3.
Advance Search: This allows you to search by any field
type (i.e. Course Name- ASL 1,
Teacher- Joe
Smart, Course #-
SPA 4612, etc.)
4.
*** Search All: This
will bring up all the books listed under that particular
school ***
