confirming that you want to buy it.

4. Once you have registered with LocalTexts.Com, you can start listing your
books.
5. Once you are done listing your books, you wait for a confirmation email from
a potential buyer.

2. Next step is to purchase the buyer's info. This is the only charge you will
ever incur using LocalTexts.Com.
3. Purchasing the buyers info will be done through Paypal.
4. You will need to set up a Paypal account if you do not already have one.
5. The charge will only be $ 1.50 per book.
6. LocalTexts.Com has nothing to do with credit or debit card information. This
process is strictly done through Paypal.
7. Once you have paid Paypal, you will automatically receive an email with the
buyer's info.
8. The buyer's info will consist of an email address, and phone #.
9. The next step is to contact the buyer, set up a meeting place and exchange
the book for cash.

spots.
2. The banners on each School's home page will represent these hot spots.

In addition, LocalTexts.Com will provide advertisements for local business in
your area. Participating businesses will have a banner that will be connected
to a downloadable coupon for you to save money.
When meeting with a seller or buyer, and not feeling safe about carrying money,
use Paypal. You can meet at a school library or various buildings on campus
that have an internet connection. Before you meet with an individual to
exchange money for a book, just have the money in your Paypal account ahead of
time. That way all the buyer has to do is transfer the money into the seller's
account. Once the buyer and seller have completed the transaction, Paypal will
send a confirmation email to both parties. Paypal provides a safe and easy way
for students looking for an alternative payment option.

2. A small charge of $1.50 per book will be required if you sell a book.
3. Once "you" the seller pays, You will receive the buyer's contact information, and proceed to set up the transaction.

1. All new users will need a Paypal account in order to use the site. The account is free! If you already have one, then just use that.
2. First, click here to go to Paypal. This will take you to Paypal's web site.
3. Once there, click the "Sign Up for a new Paypal account"
4. Select a personal Account.
5. Do not select a Premier Account, that is only if you want to start a business account.
6. You will have to confirm your account, and Paypal will give you directions on how to do so.
7. Just follow the rest of the directions from Paypal and your done.
8. If you already use Ebay, then just use your Paypal account.
AOL has a very strict policy with incoming emails, in order to block spam from there servers. As a result of this, automated emails (such as the ones used in this site) are often blocked from being received. If you are using an AOL email address, there are some instances in which a LocalText email will be placed into your spam folder. Make sure to check your spam folder for emails coming from LocalTexts.com, so that you can mark it with the option "This is not spam". Once you do this, all future emails will arrive correctly. Of course, due to the inconsistent nature of the AOL email servers, It is best to register at this site with an email address other than an email address from AOL.
